thanks for the help. i realize the problem was after i ULed the files, i didnt check them back in!
having just re-ULed everything and checked it in though, i am seeing only the first 3 of the 6 flacs showing up on the page. yet in the ftp directory, all 6 appear!! what might be causing that??

Looks like you got it! I see all six files there now, but the metadata's not filled out yet. If you hit "Edit Item" and scroll down, fill in the creator, album name and track # for each song and that should make things show up better on the page.

Is there a new FTP transfer screen? I finally upgraded IE and now I get a white screen with just text and links instead of a folder to drop files into. I don't get it...

I wouldn't use IE at all, actually...FTP is much more stable and reliable.
